Lyn Woolridge

Recent Pastels by Lyn Woolridge Malua Bay Artist Lyn Woolridge was born in Sale, Victoria and spent her childhood in nearby Maffra. She always loved art as a child and drew and painted prolifically. Later she majored in Art at Burwood Teachers College then followed a career in teaching and community Services. Lyn moved permanently to Malua Bay in 2000. She has continued her art studies throughout her life, working at improving her skills by attending numerous art classes and workshops. She has worked in many mediums but she is best known for her pastel paintings of seascapes and rivers capturing the light on water, reflections and changing moods of the sea. Many recent paintings have some watercolour underpainting to increase the depth and sparkle of the images. Her paintings are in collections overseas as well as interstate and locally. She has completed numerous commissions in particular of local beaches and always welcomes new commissions.
