Kristen Arrayet

As a painter in acrylics, oils and gouache, she was inspired by South Pacific people, tropical colours and riotous growth. During much of her career she has been a teacher. With retirement comes a move to the South Coast of NSW, a different climate, visible seasons and a cooler palette perhaps.

She studied painting at the National Art School, East Sydney Tech, Sydney College of Advanced Education and completed a Post Grad Dip Professional Art Studies along with gaining teacher qualifications.

Group and solo exhibitions throughout Australia and PNG have shown her work, including art shows in Port Moresby, the Gold Coast Art Prize and Brisbane, galleries in Noosa, Sydney, Adelaide and the Solander Gallery in Canberra.

She features in private and corporate collections including Angco, Art Bank Australia, the Reserve Bank and the Department Primary Industry in PNG.
